For Norwegians worldwide (and anyone who loves Norway), giving your children the opportunity to learn the language and be fully immersed in Norwegian culture can be challenging – especially for those of us who live in sunny Australia – about as far away from Norway as you can get!

The Norgesskolen run by Norwegians Worldwide is a fantastic opportunity for your kids (aged 9-18) to do just that. Parents from around the world can register for their child (or children) to attend Norgesskolen in beautiful Telemark, Norway – where they will spend two weeks in July learning Norwegian (with 48 language classes) and Norwegian culture (with 12 culture classes), as well as undertaking a variety of sports and outdoor activities.

In Summer (Norwegian summer, that is!) 2017, 96 students from 28 countries participated in the Norgesskolen – with over 50% of students returning from previous summer sessions. Not only are you as a parent setting your child up for a great experience – but they also have the opportunity to mingle with other children from all over the world and build lasting friendships.

If this sounds like something you’d like your kids to do, registrations and information on costs can be found here.
